Dr. Simone OC Kirkland, DVM

Dr. OC, who was raised in a small town in southeast Georgia, attended Georgia State University where she earned her B.S. in biology. During her time in undergrad, she developed an interest in infectious disease and the concept of One Health. She moved to Illinois to pursue her doctorate in veterinary medicine at the University of Illinois, where her interest in Infectious disease and One Health grew. When not at work, Dr. OC enjoys reading books, lifting heavy weights, and spending time with her pets Yoda (dog), Nova Jean (cat), and Peeka B. (cat).
