Lisa – Lead CVT
Lisa is our Lead CVT who joined Highland in the Summer of 2013. She graduated from Parkland College in 1997 earning her Associate’s degree (AAS) in Veterinary Technology. She has been working with animals for over 30 years. Lisa also manages the inventory of the clinic, online pharmacy, maintenance of diagnostic machines, equipment, and is a member of the management team. She has 2 cats (Booger and Bennie) and also 3 Miniature Dachshunds (Stella, Duke and Tillie) She enjoys working on and fixing up her home, spending time with her pets, family and friends, going for walks, listening to music and movies.
Kolleen – CVT
Kolleen joined Highland in the Summer 2020. She graduated from Parkland College with her AAS in Veterinary Technology in 2018 and is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science in Veterinary Technology through Mizzou. Kolleen has 2 cats, Inky and Rouleaux; and a soft spot in her heart for bunnies; previously having had a bun named Sweet Pea. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, listening to music, being outdoors, traveling, and gardening. Some of Kolleen’s favorite aspects of working in the veterinary field include patient care, anesthesia, and clinical pathology.
Brittany – CVT
Brittany joined Highland in spring of 2021. She graduated from Cedar Valley Distance Education Veterinary Technology Program in 2021. She has two dogs and one cat.
Leslie – CVT
Leslie joined Highland in the Summer of 2021. She graduated from Joliet Junior College in 2004 to become a Veterinary Technician and earned her Bachelor of Science in Education from Illinois State University in 2010. She has a cat named Pumpkin and a daughter named Gabby. She enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Jessica – CVT
Jessica joined Highland in 2008 and graduated from veterinary technician school in 2000. She is married with 2 daughters.
Austin – CVT
Austin joined Highland in the spring of 2023. He graduated from the Parkland Veterinary Technician program in the summer of 2022 with his AAS in Veterinary Technology.
Nicole – CVT
Nicole graduated from Joliet Junior College in 2019 with an AAS in Veterinary Technology. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, crafting, training her dogs, and canning. In veterinary medicine she is most passionate about patient care and emergency/critical care.
