Welcome to Highland Pet Hospital and Wellness Center! We are a multi-doctor small animal clinic that has been practicing veterinary medicine in Bloomington, Illinois for more than 60 years. We want you and your pet to feel at home when you visit our clinic! We hope your experience here will leave you both feeling like a part of our family.

Our vision is to promote healing, health and hope for pets, their people and our community. We strive to value all of God’s creation, to practice humility and integrity in all that we do. It is our goal to find joy in each experience with your pet and to provide an environment that supports learning and outreach to our community. These visions guide us each and every day and we are accountable to it!

Our clinic provides a variety of services to meet all of your pet’s needs. We offer preventative medical exams and vaccine packages which are modified to fit your pet’s needs and life stages. Our hospital is fully equipped with a surgical and anesthetic suite, internal medicine care, emergency/critical care treatment and various diagnostic equipment to best serve your pet’s needs. Please visit our Wellness & Preventative Care Services and Medical/Emergency Services pages to learn more about all that Highland has to offer to serve both you and your pet.

Highland doctors and staff not only want you to be comfortable, but most importantly we want your pet to feel comfortable coming here. Our goal is to help your pet have a stress free visit, or at least keep their visit as stress free as possible. We will focus on recommended preventative care for your pet to help keep them healthy. You will find that the caring hands of our doctors and staff will do their best to help your pets feel welcome by offering lots of love and attention as well as delicious snacks during their visit here, and for all our cat lovers, make sure you visit our feline only waiting room, the Scratching Post. We understand that not all cats want to be near our canine friends so we’ve created a feline only exam room and waiting room just for them!

Our veterinary assistants and veterinary technicians are a vital part of our community here at Highland Pet Hospital. Our assistants are the first friendly face to greet you when you walk in the door. They will help you weigh your pet and take an accurate medical history when they bring you into an exam room as well as assist our veterinarians during your pets examination.

Our Certified Veterinary Technicians all hold degrees in Veterinary Technology from schools approved by the American Veterinary Medical Association. Our technicians are your pet’s nurse when they visit our hospital. They help coordinate case management, participate in patient diagnosis, carry out patient treatment plans, and oversee patient care and surgery, as well as staff and client education, client management and the direction of veterinary assistants.
