The Illinois Department of Transportation has begun a two-year road construction project on Veterans Parkway in front of Highland Pet Hospital and Wellness Center. Phase One of the project involves building a new concrete Greenwood Avenue which will curve into what is currently Highland’s front yard. Phase One is expected to be completed in August 2011. The complete project, including a new intersection on Veterans Parkway with traffic signals immediately in front of Highland, is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2012.

When completed, this road construction will result in markedly improved access to Highland Pet Hospital off Veterans Parkway. However, the period of construction will bring inconveniences and periods of difficult access. Please follow any posted signs directing you to our hospital during the construction period.
